Great beats

Sorry it's been so long since I have reviewed anyone but here goes. I love the drum beat and the creeping up bass on it. It gives the sence of something ominous. Also it lets the listener decide if it's ambiant music or something they can dance to. It coulda done without the guitar in the end but some people like the guitar so it works both ways. Hope this helped. Keep them coming.

'm gonna end up mixing all my skills into a big piece one day. If anyone has the Justine Dance Mix CD please let me know. There is a certain track on that CD that I think is number 5 or 3 or something that I really liked. I lost the album off mycomputer and my sister has the CD... It was the only song I truly liked on the CD. I'm trying to copy the skills that DJ Had on that track.

If I do create an awsome track I would have to give credit to DJ's before me for giving me a stle to go by.

The artists I like have to be:
Sneaker Pimps
Prodigy
Freq Nasty
Tom Middleton
Elite Force
Omni Trio
Deep Blue
Moving Shadow
Guerilla Black
Franchise
Beastie Boys
and Atmosphere

if I hadn't listened to so many of these perfect mixes then I wouldn't have the skills i have today. I think I ought submit my very first track I created on FL3 (not FLStudio). Then you guys can see how I started... I think it was called techno bump or something. I'll upload it here in a bit. tell me what you think...

I hate one line summaries

Always need more room to write than one line with people heh. Not bad definately a true to the arts drum and bass piece. Sounds almost like prodigy in a way which I love. One thing I'd change is having the drums come in faster. Another would be adding some different elements to your song although might not be entirely nesessairy. I enjoyed it alot! Keep up your style.

TheCon-Sept responds:

Prodigy is what I listen to when I'm in my car... I feel a need for speed. Imagine going 80 down I40 down to Coors Blvd. But I am trying to make a beat that anyone can dance to. But as stated in the previous response I need a good snare drum to make a good drum roll before the second and 5th bump. of course the kicks in this beat go
Bump. Bump. Bump-Bump. Bump, bump,
Bump. Bump. Bump. Bump, bump,

I added another Bump-bump. to the second part to keep a rhythm going but the Hat still plays on the second -bump. part.

If you can find a good sample that would fit as a drum roll I would greatly appreciate it.

I will be submitting a new version of this soon after the drum roll is in place. (current Version Club Jump 3.)

In case you didn't know the reason why these are numbered now is because they are just concepts.

=^..^= hehe

Well it does sound like a casino hehe. What I have to critique on is the need for a more origional synth. I don't know what program your running but since you mentioned FL before I will just say that your using that. Put some effects on your synths and try for a more intracate beat. Id like to hear a harder kick in this song. Other than that you get a 10 for originality cause of the melodie you came up with. It goes from light to dark which is pretty fun. I did that with my piece "While you are awake and asleep". Enjoyed it and keep working harder on your own style. Ill expect even better next time! hehe.

Great work!

This is indeed you showing off to everyone that your skills have improved. Only one critique to give you which is that you have the talent to do amazing things. You need to set out and push yourself further! Other than that, I'm jelous that you got a freggin gold track within what 2 weeks? Your doing something right! Don't stop till your teeth shine platnum, and it blinds people to view your audio submissions lol!

Feral-Fox responds:

Eh I guess they improved alittle :p and dont be jelouse everyone has the power to do which they want if they try and stop putting themselfs down like I see a few do including myself. Your music has great potential man! And about the gold, yeah I wish I knew what was up with that, im not even that good at trance. Eh ill try and push harder if i can. Thanks for the nice review :p

Very nice work!

Love the words! Definately puts a feeling into your music. In the beginning the noise sound synth was excelent! You got a 10 for effort. Seems like you know your way around this piece very well. I can't seem to think of anything major that I could critique you on so just keep up work and effort like this and youll pwn me all day long :D

...sleepy...

Makes me tired as well so I guess you got it right. I think you maybe can take this further and use it to the start of a techno song. What it really reminded me of was the Aerosmith theme song to Armageddon. I sorta enjoyed it but now I gotta go to class all tired :P Keep on elaborating cause this song might spark some other ideas in your head if you come back to it. Happy song making!

I like!

You got more guts than me! Even though my passion is techno/trance I still love hiphop and rap beats. I have a bunch of hiphop beats myself but I am sorta scared of putting them on newgrounds. I love this beat though! Nothing I can really say about it except to maybe put a different melody in it later on in the track but I do know hiphop is complicated like that and it might not even sound good with anything else. You definately got the hang of hiphop in my eyes. Keep up the great work, maybe you changed my view on putting my rap/hiphop beats on ng :P

~Red 7

Hey!

Like what Bob Barker said to Happy Gilmore... "I don't want a piece of it I want the whole thing!" Seriously if you were to elaborate on this more and put more time in it I would gaurentee you would have a bigger rep in ng! Great piece though! Sounds like it's the beginning of a song. Keep up the good work and happy song making!

Electronika responds:

Thanks! And I will make it longer... eventually.

Very nice!

I love ambient piece much more than some music because the fact that you can put them in flash easier. A great mood setter I must say! If I had to critique something then I would have to sugguest putting a reverb on the snare or maybe even a delay. Something like that would make it echo through the piece and give the beat more of an umph. Very nice work, I hope to see your scores get better because you deserve it!

Cheers!

Electronika responds:

Thanks! I'll take your suggestion into consideration when revising this. And I'm glad you liked it.

Nice

I like this piece as well but in the beginning I couldnt tell how the drums would be when the melodies came in and that kinda urks some people. Another sugguestion is to equalize this piece a bit more so that I can hear more treble. Other than that I still love your style so I think you get my NG bookmark so I can check back from time to time :D Keep them coming and dont be afraid to learn/test new things out!

Btw your #5 on my bookmarks for ng artists so feel proud :P
